Fibionacci, Dried Sotong, RWMF, Blogging

The Bloggers Movie Nite was attended by 6 bloggers. Four of whom I have already met while the other two were somewhat anonymous to me though I have seen them around other people's blog. JKN somehow managed to get lost at TGV when the movie was scheduled to be held at GSC (plush seats, wide leg area and delicious popcorn). But that did not deter him from making his way to GSC where Seng Kor offered to wait outside for him while the girls make their way in the cinema hall. Of course, we almost got lost ourselves when we went up the escalator only to realise that Hall 2 is downstairs (straight ahead after the main entrance). Just when we were wondering how did JKN get his info crossed.

We also bumped into Bookworm who was there with her hubby and Little Bookworm. She was quite upset for GSC had refused her entry. Something to do with the movie ratings.

The movie? It was almost how I have imagined it when I read the book. Though the ending was somewhat not quite what I imagined it to be. You see, in the book, Robert Langdon and Sophie were suppose to have some chemistry going on where in the end they had kissed while talking of the future. But in the movie, the chemistry between them was not portrayed much except during the scene where Sophie tried to calm Prof. Langdon (he is clausterphobic) by massaging his head during the ride at the back of the armoured van. The plot is just as interesting with plenty of twists but you'd already know that if you have read the book. The only thing that we find rather offending was some movie patrons (we suspect the people sitting in front of our row) has brought in dried sotong. If you have ever taken dried sotong (squid) you'd know what kind of damage the smell could do to you.

Dinner at Vietnamese Kitchen was a delight. I decided to go for the sliced beef noodles instead of the special one (No.8) We realised that ordering by number is way easier than trying to pronounce beef noodles in vietnamese. Of course, the first thing that arrived were some white small plates as we had ordered some entrees/appetisers. May was already busy whiping out her camera. Like a bunch of excited kids, we all wrote our name on the napkin while May arranged them closely together so she could get a shot of it. And here's how I wrote mine...

The food came and everyone just started digging in and for a while, our table was silent. Everyone were engaged in their choices of noodles. Yes. Everyone had noodles. I caught a glimpse of Red Bubble on the menu while the waiter took our orders. I asked the waiter about Red Bubble concoction for it had bubbly look with a slice of lemon with red colour at the bottom tier while the top tier was of clear colour. It looked awfully good on the photo. Believe it or not, it was a combination of ribena with sprite. Dee (our triplet) quickly place the same order and we both enjoyed it thoroughly. It was really refreshing.

After a hearty meal, conversations began to pick up pace and I soon learned that a fellow blogger will be attending the Rainforest World Music Fest after reading my entry about it. Conversations just never ended as we excitedly learned that JKN is rather talented. *wink* I shall not reveal too much what that talent is but suffice to say that all five of us went "waaaaahhh...." at the same time *grin*

When we adjourned to Starbucks, it was not for a round of coffee but for more chats as the restaurant was already busy sweeping floors and wiping tables. We were the last patron to leave. While at Starbucks, we picked up more conversations as we begin talking about LB's coming home, about his blog entries containing tantalising cakes, dishes, desserts, etc..., the hug hug club franchise, about skype, about technologies, about iBook's browser, firefox, downloading stuff, about what Seng Kor does, about office location, about bumping into another blogger and realising it only after bloggers meet, about a lot of other things. But wait, what about drinks you say? We were stuffed to our face after Vietnamese Kitchen that we couldn't possibly think of ordering anything else. We then said our goodbyes and parted way.

In the words of May, "twas a good, good night out". Indeed it was my dear. Indeed it was *smile*

P/S: You'd notice that this entry is late. I had to save it in draft for two days before finally putting it up. Sorry folks!

Poison, our experience with the sotong smell is really nothing compared to Cocka's companion with the bad BO! I think that would have totally distracted me from the movie! YUKS!

Btw, my word verification to this comment is fxpetai

Which made me rather thankful that luckily no one farted after consuming too much petai too.

*scoops a dollop of ice cream and hands over to May*

LB: Hahahahha.... sneaky. *grin*

cocka: OH NOOOO!!! That would not only be awful, it's an offence to the public and deserve saman la. Muahahhahahah *evil laugh* Surely, BO is nothing compared to dried sotong. But then again, any smell is just disgusting in the cinema period!

Jomel: Yeah. Not even the smell of dried sotong could beat cocka's experience with the bad BO!

Lucky the verification does not emit any petai smell ya. Hehehe...
