Celebrating Birthdays in June

The pressies: Journal and lavendar incense - Aromatic Oil Burner - Complete Baking Book - Borneo Pearl Bracelet

My twin and I decided to celebrate Marita's and Bookworm's birthdays after Marita returned from her jungle trip in Taman Negara. Dinner was held on Friday at Vivo, The Curve as we decided to go for pasta and Marita is already craving for some nice chicken salad, a welcoming break from her Taman Negara menu. We were also joined by papa Bookworm and little Bookworm.

The evening started with an array of pastas, chicken salad, foccacia bread and pizza. It ended with Tiramisu and Cheesecake. While waiting for our orders, Jomel brought along some Turkish Delights which Selba bought during her trip to Turkey. We all went oooohhhh.. oooohhh... ooooohhh... Hang on. Oh, that was me. Wakakaka.... It was wickedly delicious. Never have I tasted Turkish Delights such as these. There were soft and chewy-like and packed with wonderful nuts. No wonder my twin finds it hard to resist their charms and we were lucky to be able to have tasted them *grin*

The main courses : Chicken salad, Foccacia, Marinara Penne, Spaghetti

The "Oh So Sinful Desserts"

After dinner, we even checked out the latest Klang Valley offerings, Cineleisure at The Curve. I even managed to purchase tickets for X-Men : The Last Stand after being rejected by GSC as all shows were fully booked over the weekend.

The evening ended up with 5 exciting adults and 1 curious underage at Royale Bintang lounge to catch Alleycats performance. This band has been around for as long I can remember. I was barely in primary school when the song "Sampaikan Salam" and "Hingga Akhir Nanti" became huge hits with their fans and I can still recall bits and pieces of the lyrics. But to our disappointment, they had to cancel the evening's performance due to sound system malfunction. Sigh.... still we manage to catch the FIFA World Cup scores on their big screen and catch up on some juicy details of how mama and papa Bookworm met *grin*.

Good food, great friends, even greater companies made the evening a thoroughly enjoyable one.

Hi Poison. This is there official website.

http://www.straycats.com/

They had a very clean rock n roll style.

They are very popular in Japan. Their most famous song is the Stray Cat Strut.

If I was not so tired I would look to see if I could find a link with a sample.

SA: Thank you for sharing. *smile*

LB: Yeah. I think so too. But not without giving the Brazilian a run for their money. Hehehehe.... At least they can put that down in their resume. They've made it this far.

Yup, Ghana has done very well to get this far! Perhaps, if it wasn't against Brazil, I would place bets on them getting past a team such as France, or even England!!

LB: Oooooh yeah. I agree. Too bad they had to face brazil in such early part of the game. We'll look out for Ghana in 2010? *grin*

I'll be rooting for Portugal next. My reason... it is known as Cristiano Ronaldo. Wakakaka.... Germany vs Argentina is a 'must see' match and I'll be rooting Germany because they have Ballack. Wakakakkaa....
