Superman Returns
A bloggers movie date seems to be on the agenda on Sunday and I was excited to go and watch Superman Returns. The newly opened cinema, Cineleisure at The Curve proved to be
quite an experience boasting ample chair space and very comfortable seats though it probably could not beat the huge leg areas found at GSC 1 Utama. Oh well, Cathay and GSC were still better than TGV.
quite an experience boasting ample chair space and very comfortable seats though it probably could not beat the huge leg areas found at GSC 1 Utama. Oh well, Cathay and GSC were still better than TGV. This much anticipated and much awaited movie boasts of new casts and the hero at 6 feet 2 weighing about 240 lbs with a pair of blue eyes. We were all swooning at Routh with his chiselled look, his lean body his oh so wonderful smile (uncannily similar to that of Christopher Reeves). The other hunky dory alpha male that deserve a lot of swooning is Richard, fiancee of Lois played by James Marsden. Nephew of Perry White, the assistant editor at Daily Planet and a pilot as well. You'll see what I mean if you catch this movie.
We decided to meet up for lunch at The Curve before heading to the cinema and decided on Little Penang, a franchisee of Little Penang Midvalley. We noticed that the food was a far cry from the one at Midvalley. Probably that's coz the original cooks are still found at Midvalley and they may have kept their secret recipes in tact. Still, it was not a bad meal. We waited for JKN who has invited his friend from Costa Rica to join us. I'm not kidding. She had flew in from Bangkok and will be joining JKN at the Rainforest World Music Fest 2006 at Kuching, Sarawak. I am counting the days... 3 days to go and this Friday I'm taking off to join thousand others in this annual event. A huge event for Sarawak for the participants are not only local but foreigners as far as Italy, Spain, German, Switzerland, etc... you get the picture. It is HUGE!

I am still swooning... and drooling.... and *Plop* *pengsans from too much sexcitement* ....
Little Joy: Hehehhe... Me too! Me too! In fact, I think I can't those scenes out of my head *swoon*
We also like that Richard la... so handsome also. Hehehehe... No wonder Lois can't make up her mind. Pilot vs. Superman. Wakakakka....
I haven't watched it yet. A friend of mine - diehard fan - was disappointed. I'm waiting for the crowds to dissipate before I hit the cinema.
I so wanna fly with Superman!! *swoon*
I was hoping he'd come rescue me from my pile of work today, but alas... he was out saving the world... sigh...
*zzzzz & dreaming of beautiful blue eyes*
have fun at the RWMF 2006!!
Have fun at the music fest Poison. I know you have planned this for the longest time.
Took the missus and my daughter to see Superman Returns last weekend. We liked it a lot. Though Lois could have been prettier.
i haven't see it yet too, some of my friends said it is damn that die bored. So what do you think
Marita: I don't know what your die-hard fan friend was expecting. Perhaps an answer to the bigger picture? *wink* We went for Superman himself *grin*
May: Yeah. I am also still swooning over his blue blue eyes and those oh so tall figure. Wakakak...
SA: Thanks. I definitely will have a wicked time there *grin* I'll post pictures and stories and .... wait a minute! I must first find the time to blog all about it! Wakakakka... But I will nevertheless.... Any prettier than Lois would not have looked like the role of a reporter. She could have just been America's Next Top Model. Wakakakkaka.....
Guruh Roy: I wonder what your friends were expecting... hehehehe... I think the reason why they think it was boring was that it did not explain if the movie was the beginning or the end (unless they have read the reviews or synopsis) I think all in all, it was a good try by Bryan Singer to come up with a sequel of Superman.
My theory is this.... Superman is about the relationship between a normal ordinary gal with a superhero who is wanted by the whole world. At the same time, the villains want him out of their world. How does a hero balance his 'career' with his love life. It goes to show that even superhero needs love in their life. *grin*
But this is just my two cents worth of thought. Others may think otherwise. But think about it, which superhero did not have a love of their life? Spiderman had Jane. Even X-men has got some love triangle going on. So you see, it all boils down to L.O.V.E *grin*
Wonder how it was like making out with Superman? At the speed of light? hehe....it will be over in a flash!!
Simple American, I think this Lois is a lot prettier than the previous ones...my personal opinion-lah.
I understand why the die hard fans would be disappointed with Superman Returns. It somehows focuses on a soppy love story more than anything. I mean, they, the comic fan would expect more pow wow action,.. err.. Not that I am complaining mind you. I enjoy it as how I would enjoy any other movie. I did enjoy it.
Bkworm, I agree. I like this Lois. She is very pretty, in my eyes. Her hair, I would love to have long thick wavy hair like that. She carried the role really well. And did you feel the chemistry between her and Brandon? Good stuff!
DeBookworm: Hehehehe.... In this case, Superman probably super slow time. Wakakakaka....
Little Joy: Yeah. I think so too.
That's why a lot of them are rather disappointed. But hey, I'm not complaining. *grin*
She's definitely pretty. Her soft feature with that flowy wavy hair. Perfect!
